sorry for the bad quality of these photos (i accidentally had my camera on the video setting lol)
Yesterday I was lucky enough to go on a field trip to the Museum of Natural History in NYC.
Each thing I saw in the museum was incredibly beautiful in it's own way; and every thing was very different. This really opened my eyes to how in life, it's the same way. Everything and every one is beautiful and yet we are all different.
The section that all of the girls in my class were all over, was the Hall of Gems. These gems were different colors, different shapes, sizes, etc and yet there was not an "ugly" one in sight. Because who looks at a gem, and ever calls a gem "ugly"?
Well, guess what, girls come in different shapes and sizes just like gems do, yet why are people so quick to call so many girls "ugly"? I think that it's time we start treating one another as if we are all gems, because we are.
Some of us are small, some of us our big, some of us are shiny and polished with makeup and some of us just aren't. But at the end of the day, we are all real girls, just like those gems are real gems. They weren't cut up and polished and shined plated in jewelry from Tiffany's, they were real, natural, gems.
And you know what? They were even more beautiful than any piece of jewelry I have ever seen.
So, if you are really into beautiful things, like I am, then do yourself a favor and pay a visit to the Hall of Gems. But hey! If you don't live quite close enough to the city to go, don't worry, you can just look in the mirror and see something just as beautiful.
