I’m a realist and an idealist all rolled into one. I want to believe so badly that there someone out there for everyone, but at the same time, I think I probably know better. I’m just navigating through this life trying to find who, what, where and when I belong. And how will I even belong once I get there?

Just like everyone else, life has thrown me some curve-balls. The thing about curve-balls is you just have to know how to handle them. You have to curve with them when you can and laugh at them when you can’t. And if one sneaks up on you and smacks you so hard it knocks you down, you have to get back up. Curve-balls come on fast and sometimes one right after the other. I’m just working on learning to staying standing when they strike.

I’m chronicling life for this real girl one day at a time. If you want to come along for the ride, offer some advice or just have a laugh, read on. There’s one thing for sure — I’m a real girl living life and trying to keep laughing while doing it. Anyone up for dodging a few curve-balls with me?

This is me. A real girl.
